 This position will be on varied roster including FIFO or DIDO from Perth. 

We are looking for an individual with previous Fire Systems Experience and/or a trade background (Electrical and/or Mechanical in nature) who is hard working and can work effectively with minimal supervision.

The applicant should be competent in the use of, or possess the following:

• Fire pumps, hydrants and hoses
• Sprinkler and Deluge systems
• Fire panels and alarm systems
• Portable an fixed extinguishers
• AFF, FIP and Gaseous Suppression Systems
• Wiring, fit off, testing, fault finding of electrical systems.
• ACMA  cabling license (open registration)
• VESDA
• Sound knowledge of relevant Australian and International Standards
• Interpretation of GA/ISO drawings/designs

 We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 2-years previous experience and/or a trade background (Mechanical), who is hard working and can work effectively with minimal supervision. 

 The applicant should be competent in the use of, or possess the following: 

• Certificate III Fire Sprinkler Fitter qualification
• Ability to write technical reports
• Troubleshooting faults and breakdowns on pumped fire systems
• Perform flow tests
• Experience with repairs on fire service systems including pumped systems
• Experience working with pumps and FIP panels
• Competent pipe fitting, cutting, rolling and threading
• Experience with a wide range of plumbing tasks
• Experience with plumbing and fire system maintenance and repairs
• Able to provide technical assistance to other team members

 This field based  role is an opportunity for on the job training with our dedicated Fire Services Team, combined with self paced study to achieve a Certificate II in Fire Protection, Inspection and Testing. 

The candidate will assist the current Fire Services Team in conducting system installations, inspection and testing, servicing and repairs. You will demonstrate the ability to learn from several technical Australian Standard documents and be able to put that knowledge into practice, becoming a valued member of our team.
